- Facts and unknowns
- Every fact carries an evidence level, source and date. Anything not officially published is marked “Not published” — never guessed.
- How we choose topics
- Topics follow reader needs (search demand, reader emails, public events such as shutdowns), never commercial relationships. Providers cannot pay to be reviewed or to avoid a review.
- Content scope (hard rule)
- We only review virtual cards: fees, compliance, stability, refunds and support, plus merchants’ officially published payment rules. Topics outside card reviews are never covered; nothing fraud-related is published; no payment success-rate promises.
- Conflicts of interest
- Team members with employment, equity or other interests in a provider recuse themselves from reviewing it.
- AI assistance and human review
- We use AI tools for research and drafting; all content is first previewed internally as “pending review” and only published after human sign-off.
- Corrections
- If you spot an error, contact us; once verified we correct it and log it publicly on the corrections page and in the changelog.
