According to media reposts, WildCard’s official group said on 2025-07-12 that, at the authorities’ request, it had to stop all business immediately; all top-up channels were blocked while existing balances could still be spent at the time, and the website went offline that day.     Per a reposted official notice (stamped 2025-07-13 18:32:57): the site outage was due to servers being shut down; user data was recovered and the site was expected back within 48 hours; card spending and balances worked, top-ups and refunds were unavailable.

    Per a community repost of an official notice: to cooperate with an investigation, subscription spending, top-ups/withdrawals/refunds and new sign-ups were paused until it ends; WildCard said balances were safe and it would either resume or refund according to the final decision.   1. Start with the merchant rules: Check the merchant’s official help center (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) for issuing-country, card-type, billing-address and 3DS requirements. Merchant rules beat any card marketing.
  2. Operator and licenses: Does the site name its operating entity, card issuer and licenses? If not, treat it as “not published”, not as safe.
  3. Every fee: Issuance, top-up, transaction, FX, monthly, closure/withdrawal fees — published line by line? An unpublished fee is not zero.
  4. KYC and regions: Which documents are required? Is your country on the official supported list?
  5. Balance and exit terms: How is your balance returned if the service shuts down or you close the card? Is it in writing? The WildCard events show why this matters.
  6. Keep balances small: Do not park large sums on any virtual card.
  7. Platform terms: Please comply with each platform’s terms of service.
